The installation of devices with remote reading, e.g. radio frequency water meters manufactured by Ecomess Sp. z o.o., must be started from the date of entry into force of the Act with the date of 22.05.2021.
Metering devices without a remote reading function installed before the date of entry into force of the Act must be replaced with devices with such a function, e.g. water meters with remote data reading, and completed by 1st January 2027 at the latest. This is regulated by Article 16 of the Act.
Thus, it is currently possible to install water meters without remote reading transmission, but only until the 31th December 2026. From the 1st of January 2027 onwards, hot water meters with remote reading capability must be supplemented by choosing, for example, water meters with a radio module manufactured by Ecomess Ltd.
